Founded in 1924, the Country Club of Barre is considered one of the “must play” courses in central Vermont. Nestled in the rolling hills of Plainfield, Vermont, the Country Club of Barre offers a unique and rewarding golf experience.

You will experience golf at its finest with scenic views of the beautiful Vermont landscape. Our course is designed with all players in mind, from the beginner to the experienced. Players will find the course challenging and fun to play.

Our pro-shop is well stocked with all of the amenities you would expect. Our PGA Professional Joe Dingledine and staff are always ready to assist you and to make your experience even more enjoyable.


Men’s League
League play offers opportunities to have fun, meet new people, and unwind from the day’s activities in a weekly competitive, yet friendly, team environment. Men’s league takes place weekly through August, featuring Tuesday 5:15 p.m. shotgun starts.

Women’s League
We welcome all women to play in league on Wednesday evenings. Arrive by 5:15; play starts at 5:30. If you are not a member, pay the Pro Shop for greens fees. To receive emails about League, email pattybaroudi [@] gmail.com

The 2024 CCB Membership Information and Application are available now! The Practice Range is open from 8:00 a.m. through 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 6:30 a.m. through 7:30 p.m. on weekends. Purchase tokens at the pro shop. Learn more.

Can you Volunteer to Help? 
Even if you have only an hour or two, if you can help with tasks such as raking leaves, cutting brush, disposing of debris, filling divot holes, or picking range balls, please call Course Superintendent Bill Evans at 802 522-8353 to ask what you can do.
