2025 Maurice Kelley Golf Tournament UPDATE
Sponsored by: Good Measure Pub and Brewery
Register by June 29 at 6:00 pm.: Sign up by phone, in person at the Pro Shop, or by email at ccofbarrepro@gmail.com
As you all know, some extreme weather forced us to cancel the originally scheduled Maurice Kelley this year. As difficult as this decision was, we know this event is a member favorite, so we have decided to reschedule! We know there will be many questions, so we will do our best to cover them on the front end, but you can email countryclubofbarre@gmail.com or ccofbarrepro@gmail.com with additional questions. We are still working through the process and will provide further updates when possible.
Rescheduled Dates: Sat August 2nd and Sun August 3rd
What do we need from you?
If you know you can play, or not play, let the Pro Shop know ASAP!!! Even if you can’t play, please let us know so we don’t have to track people down!
FAQ:
What about the golf we’ve already played?
Less than half of the field was able to complete two full matches, the minimum requirement to be an “official” event per rules set by the tournament committee prior to play. We expect some teams to be unable to play on the new dates and anticipate flights will be realigned. In the interest of fairness to the entire field, the spring event is effectively void. There will be no payouts or score carryover.
What happens to my entry fee?
- If you plan to play in the new event, your entry fee (less the cost of food) will carry over to your new registration. Since dinner was provided despite the cancellation, all previously registered players will need to pay an additional $20 for the August event.
- If you cannot play in the new event, you will be reimbursed $55 of your entry fee in Pro Shop credit, a gift card, or to the credit card used to pay for your registration. More details will be sent directly to tournament participants.
- If you played as a guest and paid additional greens fees, you will reimbursed via Pro Shop credit or a gift card.
What if I entered the CTP competition?
The $20 CTP entry fee will be transferred to the new event if you can play or it can be reimbursed through Pro Shop credit or a gift card.
When can I sign up?
Any team originally registered who wants to play again can sign up immediately. Priority will be given to all teams that were orginally entered. If one partner can play and the other cannot, you may substitute your partner and sign up immediately. New teams will only be permitted to enter the event if other teams drop out and create space. A waiting list will be created.
For new teams:
Entry – $75 Per Player
Carts not included in entry (please reserve in advance)
Sign up by phone, in person at the Pro Shop, or by email at ccofbarrepro@gmail.com
Please give the Pro Shop yours and your partners handicaps at sign up. These will be updated upon registration closing, but there was difficulty tracking players down last year.
